"The Graduate and Professional Studies degrees are valuable. They do all they can to make the program feasible for working adults, but you get a solid education. The management of our company has the greatest respect for a Tusculum degree. From my point of view, the study group made it work. I depended on the support of my peers, and we all got through together."

About the Graduate & Professional Studies Program

Tusculum recognizes the needs of adults who want to further their education while, at the same time, manage their busy schedules due to the demands in their everyday lives. Stemming from this challenge, in 1984 Tusculum became one of the first colleges in the region to create a degree program that would afford busy adults the opportunity to achieve a full-time, quality education in an accelerated format. This format allows Tusculum students to complete a degree in convenience and in a timely manner.

You Should Know...

If you think you are too old to start school or to return to school, you are wrong! Here are some facts you should know:

Most of our students are working full time and have pressing family responsibilities.

Many have little or no college experience or have attended a junior college or community college.

Nearly all have relevant work and life experiences and a high motivation to learn and achieve.

It's never too late for school, and Tusculum College's Graduate & Professional Studies Programs are tailored just for you!

All of the programs are geared for people just like you - someone needing a degree to finally grasp
that long-desired promotion or wanting to change a
career altogether.

  • Each program is comprised of accelerated courses
  • One course of study at a time
  • Typically one evening per week, 6-10 p.m.
  • At selected locations, daytime and Saturday classes are also available

Once at Tusculum, you will quickly learn that all of our classes are taught by Tusculum faculty with hands-on, real-world experience in their areas of expertise, and all with a passion to teach.

An invaluable facet of the program includes a "Learning Team" component that provides a teamwork approach and a support system for students throughout the program.
Programs begin frequently and courses are offered at two regional centers, Greeneville and Knoxville, and at various off-site locations in East Tennessee.

Students who enroll in Graduate and Professional Studies programs are responsible for having access
to a computer and email capabilities and Internet connectivity capable of linking to the Tusculum College website.

Tusculum College provides for computer/Internet accessibility at its instructional sites. If any students are unable to obtain access to the Internet connectivity and email capabilities either on their own or through the use of College-suuplied facilities, the College will assist them in identifying other convenient Internet access locations.
