TUSCULUM
BASEBALL TO HOST “SELL-OUT SATURDAY” THIS WEEKEND AGAINST CARSON-NEWMAN
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College has designated this
Saturday’s baseball doubleheader with Carson-Newman College as “Sell-Out
Saturday”, announced College officials. Tusculum
will be looking to establish a new school attendance record at Pioneer Park
when TC takes on the 27th-ranked Eagles.
Saturday’s doubleheader is
slated for 1 p.m. and admission is $5.
All Tusculum students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a
valid Tusculum ID. Children ages 5 and
under will also be admitted free.
Several promotions and
activities are planned throughout Saturday’s doubleheader.
Saturday’s twin-bill is part of
a three-game South Atlantic Conference series between the Pioneers and Eagles,
which will begin Friday night at 7 p.m.
Both Tusculum and Carson-Newman
advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament last year. Tusculum has won the SAC Championship the
last three seasons. The two teams last
met in the finals of the 2007 Food Lion SAC Tournament in Greenville, S.C.,
which Carson-Newman won to earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA
Playoffs.
