Cant also tallied two hits apiece in the loss for the Tornado (21-8).
TC starter Tyler Collins (3-0) remained undefeated on the season as he tossed
six innings while allowing seven hits, three runs, one earned, two walks and
three strikeouts. Seniors Ryan Pfleger
and Mat Galens
shut out the Tornado in the final two innings.
KC starter Eric Allen
suffered the loss.
King accounted for all of its
offense in the second inning when it plated three runs on three hits, including
RBI singles by Cant and Richburg.
TC sent 10 batters to the plate
in the fifth as the Pioneers scored six runs to take a 9-3 advantage.
