TUSCULUM LISTED IN NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL STATISTICS

 

                INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College men's basketball team is listed four categories in this year's first installment of the NCAA Division II statistics announced College officials.

 

                The Pioneers (7-4, 0-1 in South Atlantic Conference) are 18th in the nation in field goal percentage defense, limiting the opposition to shoot just 39.2 percent from the floor.  TC is shooting 41 percent from three-point territory, which is 21st in the country.  Tusculum is also listed 24th in assists per game (17.3 apg) and 48th in blocked shots per game (3.7 bpg).

 

                Individually, junior forward Jordan Lear (Zanesville, Ohio) is 35th in the nation in field goal percentage, shooting 58.5 percent from the floor, while senior Gabe Story (Greeneville, Tenn.) is 27th in blocked shots per game, rejecting 1.9 per contest.

 

                Tusculum will host Lenoir-Rhyne College this Saturday at Pioneer Arena for a 4 p.m. contest.
