PIONEERS
LISTED IN NCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS
INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College men’s basketball team is
listed in four categories according to this week’s NCAA Division II statistics
announced College officials Tuesday.
The Pioneers (8-10, 2-4 in South
Atlantic Conference) are 16th in the nation in three-point field
goals made per game (9.4), while shooting 39.3 percent from beyond the arc,
which is 38th-best in the land.
Tusculum leads the SAC in both categories.
TC is also 35th in
assists per game (16.9 apg) and 36th in
assist/turnover ratio (1.13).
Individually, senior forward Jordan Lear (Zanesville, Ohio) is 45th
in the country in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game. The Preseason All-Conference selection is
also 47th in the land in three-point field goal percentage
(41.4%). He is third in the league in
scoring and is seventh all-time at TC with 1,385 career points.
Sophomore
guard Kyle Moore (Gainesville, Fla.)
is listed in three individual categories.
Moore is tops in the SAC and 10th in the nation, averaging
3.6 three-pointers per contest. He is
also 24th in free throw percentage (87.7%) and 27th in
three-point percentage (44.8%). Moore
leads the SAC in all three categories.
Junior
guard Ryan Troutman (Mt. Washington,
Ky.) is second in the SAC in assist/turnover ratio at 2.03, which is also 43rd
in NCAA II.
Tusculum
will host Mars Hill College this Wednesday at 8 p.m. in a South Atlantic
Conference contest at Pioneer Arena.
