TOMMY KLEMPIN INKS WITH TUSCULUM MEN'S BASKETBALL

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tommy Klempin has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College and play basketball for the Pioneers announced TC men's coach Jim Boone.

Klempin, a 6-10, 220-pound native of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, is completing his final prep campaign at Pickerington Central High School where he was coached by Jerry Groves.

Klempin is a four-year starter, including last year where he earned All-OCC Cardinal Second Team honors.  He was listed as one of the top 50 "Blue Chip" players at the 2006 Rick Bolus High Potential® Basketball Camp and is listed as one of the top 20 seniors in the State of Ohio.  He was also listed as the No. 9 center in the State of Ohio by Prep Spotlight Recruiting.

"We're so excited to have a person of Tommy's character and academic standing as a member of our basketball family," said Boone.  "We're also thrilled that a player of Tommy's abilities has chosen Tusculum College to continue his basketball career - this speaks volumes about our program and the College.  Tommy has tremendous potential to be an outstanding post player in our program.  The combination of his size and skill level, aren't present in the South Atlantic Conference.  Again we're very, very excited about Tommy and his future as a Pioneer."

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference, which is comprised of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
