TUSCULUM LISTED IN NCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS

 

                INDIANAPOLIS --- The first installment of the 2007-08 NCAA Division II men’s basketball statistics have been released and Tusculum College is mentioned in several individual and team categories.

 

                Sophomore guard Kyle Moore (Gainesville, Fla.) is listed in three individual categories, including free throw percentage, where he is shooting 93.8 percent from the charity stripe, which is tops in the South Atlantic Conference and tied for 14th in the nation.  Moore, a 6-3 transfer from Winthrop University, is shooting 30-for-32 from the foul line and made his first 24 attempts in the a Pioneer uniform.

 

                Moore is also tied for 45th nationally in assists per game (5.1 apg) and tied for 47th in three-point field goals made per contest (3.0 avg).

 

                Senior forward Jordan Lear (Zanesville, Ohio) is tied for 45th in three-pointers made per game, averaging 3.1 an outing.  Lear leads the team in scoring with his 18.6 points per game average.

 

                Tusculum (4-5) is listed in three team categories, including 19th in turnovers per game (13.2), 20th in assist/turnover ratio (1.29) and 26th in three-point field goals made per game (9.3).

 

                The Pioneers are in action this Wednesday night when they host Anderson University for a 7 p.m. contest at Pioneer Arena.  It will be Tusculum’s first home contest in over a month.
