LISTED IN NCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS
INDIANAPOLIS --- Tusculum College junior Nikki Van Dine is ranked second in the nation in three-point field
goal percentage according to this week’s NCAA Division II women’s basketball
statistics.
Van Dine (Columbus, Ohio) is
shooting 49.4 percent from beyond the three-point arc, which is also second in
the South Atlantic Conference.
Carson-Newman’s Ashley Tipton leads the nation shooting 51.3 percent and
the two three-point shooters will square off this Saturday when the Pioneers
and Lady Eagles meet. Van Dine is also
19th in the nation in three-point field goals per game, averaging
2.9 treys per contest.
Sophomore forward Stephany Neptune (Wallkill, N.Y.) is ranked in
three categories, including 20th in the nation in rebounding (9.9 rpg), 21st in field goal percentage (.576) and
29th in blocked shots (1.8 bpg).
Tusculum freshman Jasmine Gunn (Nashville, Tenn.), the
reigning SAC Player of the Week, is 12th in the land in assists per
game (6.3 apg), while rookie Jasmine Parker (Rex, Ga.) is 49th in assist/turnover
ratio (1.90).
Junior guard Ashli Oliver (Kokomo, Ind.) is 12th in the country in
three-point field goals per game, averaging 3.3 per contest, which are also
tops in the league.
As a team, the Pioneers (13-2,
3-0 SAC) are listed in 10 statistical categories. Tusculum is 14th in scoring
offense, averaging 81.1 points per game, including 84 ppg
during the Pioneers’ current 10-game winning streak. TC is also 13th in blocked shots
(4.0 bpg), 17th in field goal percentage
(.495), 17th in assists (20.5 apg), 19th
in assist/turnover ratio (1.33), 24th in won-lost percentage (867),
28th in three-point field goal percentage (.400), 31st in
three-point field goals per game (7.8), 40th in scoring margin
(+20.0) and 50th in turnovers per game (15.4 tpg).
