RANKED NINTH IN NCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SOUTH ATLANTIC REGION POLL
INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College women’s basketball team is
listed ninth in this year’s inaugural NCAA Division II South Atlantic Region
rankings announced officials Wednesday.
The Pioneers (15-3, 5-1 in South
Atlantic Conference) have won 10 of its 13 in-region games entering Wednesday
league tilt with Mars Hill.
Francis Marion, Clayton State,
North Georgia, Wingate and Columbus State comprise the top five, while Lander,
Augusta State, USC Aiken, Tusculum and Johnson C. Smith round out the 10 teams
ranked.
Following Wednesday’s game with
Mars Hill, the Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday when they host
Lenoir-Rhyne for a 2 p.m. contest.
