REPLAY OF SAC BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TO AIR THIS WEEK

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Fans of the Tusculum women’s basketball team will be able to watch a replay of Sunday’s Food Lion South Atlantic Conference women’s basketball tournament championship game announced College officials.

                Fans in Greeneville will be able to watch the women’s championship game between Tusculum and Wingate locally on Comcast/Charter Sports South (CSS) - Comcast Channel 37 on Tuesday at 7 p.m. 

                The game will also be available on cable outlets along the East Coast from Pennsylvania to Florida, the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) is also carried by both of the dominate satellite cable providers – DISH Network and DirecTV, allowing the SAC Tournament Championship to be available via satellite television to viewers across the country. More than 42 million households across the country will have the opportunity to view the championships.

                Comcast/Charter Sports South (CSS) reaches 5.8 million households across 12 states. MASN serves a 7 state area, from Harrisburg, Pa. to Charlotte, N.C and including Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, the District of Columbia and parts of West Virginia, reaching 5.2 million households.

                The SAC Championships will also air Wednesday at 9 a.m. on DirecTV. DirecTV has more than 16.8 million subscribers, while DISH Network has more than 13.5 million subscribers.

                The games were produced by Mark-It Productions out of Boiling Springs, S.C. Fred Cunningham, a news anchor and former sports anchor with WSPA in Spartanburg, S.C., will handle the play-by-play. Tommy Love, the former women’s basketball coach at Newberry, will handle the color commentary.

                The South Atlantic Conference is one of the premier NCAA Division II conferences in the country and strives for academic success and athletic achievement. Since becoming eligible for NCAA Division II postseason play in 1993, the league has sent representatives from all of its sponsored sports to NCAA postseason play.

                The Pioneers (26-4) have earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.  Tusculum, the No. 2 seed in the South Atlantic Regional, will face seventh-seeded Lander University on Friday at 8 p.m. from Florence, S.C.  The single-elimination, eight-team regional is being hosted this weekend by Francis Marion University.
