TUSCULUM'S SARAH ALSTON NAMED TO NCAA ALL-ACADEMIC CROSS COUNTRY TEAM

 

Sarah Alston                METAIRIE, La. --- Tusculum College's Sarah Alston has been named to the 2006 NCAA Division II All-Academic Women's Cross Country team.

 

                Alston, a senior from Morristown, Tenn., competed in all six meets at Tusculum this past season, including a 15th place showing at the South Atlantic Conference Championship, with a time of 20:57.50.

 

                In her six meets, she finished no worse than 15th, including a second place performance at the Tusculum Invitational.

 

                Alston is one of nine women's cross country runners in the South Atlantic Conference to be named to this prestigious squad.

 

                Alston is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

 

                Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
