PIONEERS RELEASE 2006 CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE

 

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The 2006 Tusculum College cross country schedule has been released announced Pioneer head coach Phil Roberts.  The Pioneer men and women's cross country teams will compete in five regular season meets, culminating with the 2006 South Atlantic Conference Championship, hosted by Mars Hill College on Oct. 21 in Black Mountain, N.C.                 The Pioneers will get an early look at the conference championship course on Sep. 8, when Tusculum competes at the UNC Asheville Bulldog Invitational in Black Mountain.

 

                A week later, the Pioneers return home to host the Tusculum College Invitational, to be held at the Greene Valley Development Center in Greeneville.

 

                The Pioneers hit the road once again on Sep. 22 as they compete at the Lenoir-Rhyne College Invitational in Conover, N.C.

 

                TC will next run at the Volunteer Invitational, hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville on Sep. 30.

 

                Following the SAC Championship on Oct. 21, the Pioneers will be at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional, held Nov. 4 at Wingate, N.C. with the NCAA National Championship slated for Nov. 18 in Pensacola, Fla.  The national championship meet will be held in conjunction with the inaugural NCAA II National Championship Fall Festival, hosted by the University of West Florida and the city of Pensacola.

 

                Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which consists of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
