TUSCULUM MEN FINISH 10TH AT EYE OPENER INVITATIONAL

 

                SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- The Tusculum College men's cross country finished 10th of 22 teams at the 2005 Eye Opener Invitational, held Saturday morning in Spartanburg, S.C.

 

                Senior Ross Lewis led the Pioneers, finishing 23rd with a time of 28:32 on the 8,000-meter course.  Freshman Chris Haney was second among the TC harriers, recording a time of 30:23 to finish 52nd.

 

                Stephen Jones finished 68th with a time of 31:14, followed by Richard Neese (33:41/110th) and Scott Howard (35:50/141st).

 

                The Tusculum women didn't compete as a team.

 

                The Pioneers return to action next Saturday when they host the 2005 Tusculum College Invitational at the Greene Valley Development Center.
