TUSCULUM'S WINSTON CURRY BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD AT BLUE HOSE INVITATIONAL

CLINTON, S.C. --- Tusculum College's Winston Curry established a new school record time of 26:51.41 to finish fifth at the Blue Hose Cross Country Invitational Friday afternoon at the Young Intramural Park on the Presbyterian College campus.

The Tusculum men's team finished seventh, while the women's squad didn't score as a team.

Curry smashes the previous school record of 27:07 in the 8,000-meters, set by James Ulsh at the 1999 South Atlantic Conference Championship. Stephen Jones finished 31^st with a time of 29:25.72, while Donald White place 33^rd at 29:30.34. Joe Norton posted a time of 30:33.62, while Scott Howard (34:59.47) and Ben Morgan (41:15.13) finished 62^nd and 67^th respectively.

Alex Frary led the TC women, finishing fifth individually with a time of 20:10.37 on the 5,000-meter course. Sarah Alston placed 11^th with 20:36.79, while Alicjia Dembna (20:54.51) tallied a 14^th place showing and Marci Moore accounted for a time of 23:32.00 (48^th).
