TUSCULUM'S JOHN GREGORY NAMED SAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
FOR A THIRD TIME

--- For the third time this season, Tusculum
punter John Gregory has been named
the South Atlantic Conference Special Teams Football Player of the Week announced
league officials Monday.
Gregory, a 6-2, 210-pound freshman from Ootlewah, Tenn.,
averaged 41.8 yards on his 10 punts in Tusculum's
24-17 road win at Mars Hill. Gregory,
who earns this honor for a third time this season, pinned Mars Hill inside
the 20-yard line three times, including two punts of 50-plus yards with a
long of 56. Gregory's 418 punting yards
are the second most in a game in school history.
He established the school record earlier this season with 424.
Tusculum (6-4, 3-3 SAC)
closes out its season this Saturday when it hosts arch-rival Carson-Newman for
a 1:30 p.m. kickoff at Pioneer Field.
