TUSCULUM GOLF INKS THREE
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College golf teams have signed three
players to national letters of intent according to Pioneer head coach Bob Dibble.
Joining the men's squad is local
product Jake Scheffers
while Amber Ladner
and Susanne Sisco
have inked with the women's team.
Scheffers
is wrapping up his prep golf career at Greeneville High School, where he has been a very strong player
with an excellent swing and tempo.
"Jake has an outstanding high school record and should have an
immediate impact on our team," said Dibble.
Ladner,
a native of Maryville, Tenn., won the Blount County Junior
Championship for two consecutive years, while also qualifying for the Tennessee
Junior Tournament of Champions. She is
completing her final season at Maryville High School where she was a prep teammate of current
All-South Atlantic Conference First Team performer and TC standout Shannon Palenkas.
Sisco
will join the Pioneer squad after a solid prep campaign at Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Ohio.
"When Susanne came on her unofficial visit in June, I wasn't
impressed with her golf swing at first," Dibble added. "But when she came back in October, her
hard work produced a swing with excellent position, balance and release through
the ball. She will be a great help to
our program."
Tusculum College, affiliated with the Presbyterian
Church, USA, is a NCAA Division II member of the
South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of eight colleges and universities
in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
