TUSCULUM MEN’S GOLF TIED FOR SEVENTH AT OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE INVITATIONAL

PANAMA CITY, Fla. --- The Tusculum College men’s golf team fired an opening round 301 and is tied for seventh place at the 2008 Outback Steakhouse Invitational, held this week at the Hombre Golf Club. The Pioneers are 15 shots behind first place Lander who posted a two-over par 286.

Tusculum was led by Chase Carroll, who carded a first-round 72 and is tied for 11^th place, but only four shots out of the lead. Chris Wynne is tied for 18^th place with Monday’s round of 74. Matt McIntyre posted a 76, while Lawson George and Darren Christie tallied rounds of 79 and 87, respectively.

The final round of the 16-team tournament will be played on Tuesday on the par 71 course.
