CARROLL
FINISHES FIFTH, TUSCULUM SEVENTH AT OUTBACK INVITATIONAL
PANAMA CITY, Fla. --- Tusculum’s Chase Carroll fired a second round 72 and finished tied for fifth
place with his two-day 144 at the 2008 Outback Steakhouse Men’s Golf Invitational
at the Hombre Golf Club. The Pioneers
fired a two-round 601 (301-300) to finish seventh.
St. Edward’s fired a final day
284 to rally from eight shots back to win the team title with 578. Chris
Wolfe of Armstrong Atlantic State University captured medalist honors with
137, including Tuesday’s round of 66.
Tusculum rookie Lawson George carded a one-under par 70
to finish with 149. Senior Chris Wynne shot 74-76=150, while Matt McIntyre posted 76-86=162. Darren
Christie shot 87-83=170 to round out the Tusculum scoring.
The Pioneers return to action
Mar. 3-4 when they compete at the Richard Rendleman
Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
