TUSCULUM FOURTH AT PC INTERCOLLEGIATE

 

CLINTON, S.C. – The Tusculum men’s golf team is fourth after one round of the Presbyterian College Intercollegiate, hosted at Musgrove Mill Golf Course.  Two-time defending national champion USC Aiken leads the field of 12 teams after firing an opening-round 297, eight strokes ahead of second-place Coker and 19 strokes ahead of the Pioneers.

 

Tusculum’s Nick Kinzer (Chattanooga, Tenn.) is tied for fourth with a 74 (37-37).  Chase Carroll (Knoxville, Tenn.) is 10th with a score of 77 (39-38), and Chris Wynne (Johnson City, Tenn.) is tied for 24th with an 81 (40-41). 

 

Sasha Catron (Greeneville, Tenn.) carded an opening-round 84 (42-42) to tie for 39th, and Dallas Bassen (Strathmore, Alberta) is tied for 50th with an 87 (41-46).

 

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday.
