Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at PC Invite

TUSCULUM FINISHES 5TH AT PC INTERCOLLEGIATE

 

CLINTON, S.C. – The Tusculum men’s golf team fired a final-round 319 (216-319=635) to finish fifth at the Presbyterian College Intercollegiate, hosted at Musgrove Mill Golf Course.  Two-time defending national champion USC Aiken won the 12-team event with a final score of 594, twenty strokes ahead of second-place Coker.

 

Tusculum’s Nick Kinzer (Chattanooga, Tenn.) was the top Pioneer finisher, carding a 155 (74-81).  Chris Wynne (Johnson City, Tenn.) shaved six strokes off his opening-round score and climbed twelve spots to tie for 12th in the final standings with a 156 (81-75).  Chase Carroll (Knoxville, Tenn.) tied for 31st with a score of 163 (77-86). 

 

Sasha Catron (Greeneville, Tenn.) carded a final score of 165 (84-81) to tie for 36th, and Dallas Bassen (Strathmore, Alberta) tied for 44th, six spots higher than his first-day standing, with a final-round 82 and a total score of 169 (87-82).
