SALISBURY, N.C. --- Fresh
off its win of its own tournament, the Tusculum College men’s golf team is
continuing its stellar play as the Pioneers posted an opening round 299 and
is in third place at the 2006 Richard Rendleman
Invitational.
TC senior Sasha
Catron fired an even par 71 and is tied for fifth place and is three shots
behind first round leader Patrick Townes
(68) of Presbyterian. Chase Carroll
is tied for 24th with 75, while Chris Wynne is tied for
31st with 76. Senior Nick
Kinzer, last weekend’s Tusculum Invitational medalist,
is tied for 40th with 77, while Luke Miller rounds out the
TC scoring with his opening 79 (T61st).
Four teams are tied for seventh place at 303, led by tournament host
