ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College's Chris Wynne and Chase Carroll have been named to the 2007 All-South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Team announced league officials Thursday.  Wynne garnered All-SAC First Team recognition, while Carroll was tabbed to the Second Team.

Wynne, a junior from Johnson City, Tenn., is tied for the team lead in scoring average, posting 74.88 strokes per round.  Wynne has posted five top 25 finishes this year, including three top 10 outings.  Wynne started the season by capturing medalist honors at the Anderson Invitational last fall.  He posted rounds of 68 and 69 to shoot 137, which was a school record.

Carroll, a sophomore from Knoxville, Tenn., is also averaging 74.88 strokes per round, including three top 10 performances.  Carroll won the individual title at the Tusculum Fall Classic where he broke Wynne's record with back-to-back rounds of 67 to shoot 134.  He has carded four sub-par rounds and tied for sixth place at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate last month.

Carroll was also named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year, becoming the second player in the program's history to earn this honor.

The Pioneers will compete at next week's Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Golf Championship in Hickory, N.C.
