IN SEVENTH AFTER
BADIN, N.C. --- After 36 holes, the Tusculum College men’s golf
team is seventh of 18 teams after day one action of the Johnny Palmer
Invitational, held at the Old North State Club Monday. The Pioneers posted team scores of 299 and
304 to post a 603.
Tusculum is led by junior Chris Wynne carded two rounds of 75 to
post 150. One shot behind Wynne is Jake Scheffers, who opened with a 79
and followed with a 72 in the afternoon for 151. Matt
Brown is next with 72-82=154, while Chase
Carroll totaled 80-75=155. Rookie Weston Ward rounds out the scoring with
73-85=158.
The final 18 holes will be
played on Tuesday.
