KINZER, PIONEERS FINISH 12TH AT SHADWICK INVITATIONAL

 

                SENECA, S.C. --- Nick Kinzer posted a two-day score of 152, including Tuesday's final round 72 to finish tied for 12th at the Jack Shadwick Invitational, held this week at Cross Creek Plantation.  The Pioneers posted a team score of 634 to finish 12th.

 

                Dallas Bassen tied for 31st at 157, while Chris Wynne carded a 159 and tied for 43rd place.  Chase Carroll tied for 61st with 166 and Andy Arp posted a 173 to tie for 70th to round out the scoring for Tusculum.

 

                Oglethorpe won the team title by six shots over second place Methodist, who fired a 606.  LaGrange finished third with 615, followed by Huntingdon (617), host Southern Wesleyan (617), Berry (621), Campbellsville (622), Spring Hill (625), North Greenville (629), Wingate (629), Clayton State (631), Tusculum and Marian (636).

 

                The Pioneers have wrapped up its fall schedule and will be in action again Feb. 20-21, 2006 at the Presbyterian College Intercollegiate.
