TUSCULUM IN 12TH PLACE AFTER SECOND ROUND OF LADY MOC CLASSIC

 

                LAKELAND, Fla. --- The Tusculum College women’s golf team has carded a two-day total 667 and is in 12th place after the second round of the 2008 Lady Moc Classic, held this week at the Cleveland Heights Golf Club.  The Pioneers cut five shots from its first round score with 331 on Monday.

 

                Mary Ann Vizcarrondo posted a second-day 78, giving her 159 and is tied for 35th place.  Mandy Hartsock is tied for 49th with 79-86=165, while Emily Palenkas is 64th with 87-84=171.  Adriana Vizcarrondo is tied for 65th with 89-83=172 and Susanne Sisco has 89-86=175 (T69th).

 

                Tournament host and top-ranked Florida Southern has 301-294=595 and leads by three shots over second place Barry (302-296=598) and second-ranked Rollins (301-299=600).  Nova Southeastern in fourth with 605, followed by Lynn (622), Northern Kentucky (638), Wingate (642), Western New Mexico (642), Florida Southern “B” (643), West Florida (643) to round out the top 10.  Saint Leo is 11th with 665, followed by Tusculum, Webber International (673), Catawba (692), Eckerd (696) and Florida Tech (701).

 

                Nova Southeastern’s Sandra Changkija has a two-shot advantage after the second round with 75-71=146 in the individual competition.

 

                The third and final round will be played on Tuesday on the par 72, 5,997-yard course.
