TUSCULUM WOMEN FINISH THIRD AT HARGETT INTERCOLLEGIATE

CHARLOTTE --- The Tusculum College women’s golf team tallied a two-day 707 to finish third at the J. Ralph Hargett Intercollegiate, held this week at the Olde Sycamore Golf Club in Charlotte.

Mandy Hartsock and Mary Ann Vizcarrondo finished with 36-hole scores of 174 to tie for 13^th place. Emily Palenkas shot 175 to tie for 16^th, including a final round 82 on Tuesday. Amber Ladner shot 185, while Adriana Vizcarrondo shot 192 (45^th) to round out the scoring for Tusculum.

Belmont Abbey led wire-to-wire as the shot 643, including a sizzling 309 on Tuesday. Tournament host Wingate finished second with 685, followed by Tusculum, Newberry (711), Anderson (715), Armstrong Atlantic State (716), Queens University of Charlotte (719), Presbyterian (729), Mount Olive (747), Catawba (751), Mars Hill (768) and Lincoln Memorial (777).

Tusculum returns to action next week when it hosts the Agnes McAmis Memorial at Link Hills Country Club.
