BOWEN TABBED TO ALL-SAC WOMEN'S GOLF TEAM

HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College's Shannon
Palenkas and Amanda
Bowen have been named to the 2005 All-South Atlantic Conference Women's
Golf Team announced league officials Friday afternoon. Palenkas was selected
to the All-SAC First Team, while Bowen garnered Second Team honors.
Palenkas, a sophomore from Maryville, Tenn., boasts the top scoring average on the
team at 83.84 strokes per round. Palenkas has two top-10 performances including a
fourth-place finish at the Hargett Memorial in March.
Bowen,
a sophomore from Millington, Tenn., ranks second on the team in scoring at
86.24 and is looking to improve on her eighth-place finish at last year's
SAC Championship. Bowen, returns to
the All-SAC team for a second straight year, including last season as she
was named the 2004 SAC Freshman of the Year.
Tusculum will be competing for its third
Conference Championship next week in Hickory, N.C.
