TUSCULUM’S
SUSANNE SISCO EARNS NGCA ACADEMIC HONORS
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. --- Tusculum College’s Susanne Sisco has been named to the 2007-08
National Golf Coaches Association’s Division II All-America Scholar Team,
announced College officials Wednesday.
The criteria for selection is
student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and competed
in at least 66 percent of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds
during the year.
Sisco,
a rising senior from Fairfield, Ohio, has a 3.52 GPA majoring in Math Education.
Sisco finished
fourth on the team with an 86.33 scoring average for her 18 rounds this
season. Her stroke average is the 20th
lowest in school history. The Fairfield
High School graduate accounted for four top 25 finishes this past year,
including a 15th place showing at the South Atlantic Conference
Championship. The Pioneers finished
runner-up for the league title.
She is a member of the South
Atlantic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Tusculum Athletic Director’s
Honor Roll and the Dean’s List.
In her three previous seasons at
Tusculum, she has posted an 89.13 stroke average which is currently the 11th
lowest in school history.
Tusculum finished in the top of
five in six of its nine events this past year, including two second place
showings (Anderson Invitational, SAC Championship) and a pair of third place
finishes (Tusculum Fall Classic, Hargett
Intercollegiate).
Tusculum College, located in
Greeneville, Tenn. and affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA is a NCAA
Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which consists of nine
colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
