EMILY
PALENKAS SIGNS WITH TUSCULUM
WOMEN’S GOLF
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Emily Palenkas
has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College
and play golf for the Pioneers announced TC women’s coach Bob Dibble.
Palenkas
will join the Tusculum program from Maryville High School
in Maryville, Tenn.
Palenkas tied for 27th place at the
Tennessee Girls’ State Junior with a low round of 78. She also finished tied for 10th
place at the TSSAA State Championship with rounds of 79-77=156. Emily is familiar with the program as her sister, Shannon is wrapping
up her final season with the Pioneers.
“Emily’s game has improved
tremendously this past summer and should step right in and challenge for the
No. 1 spot on the team,” said Dibble.
Tusculum
College, located in Greeneville,
Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian
Church, USA and is a NCAA
Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine
colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South
Carolina.
