TUSCULUM WOMEN'S GOLF RECEIVES TWO COMMITMENTS
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Two
student-athletes have indicated they will attend Tusculum College
and play golf for the Pioneers announced TC women's coach Bob Dibble. Joining the Tusculum squad next
season are Katie Doane
and Rebeka Bell.
Doane,
a native of Sevierville, Tenn.,
won the Sevier County Championship twice and finished 10th in the
Tennessee State High School Championship representing Pigeon Force
High School. She was also a member of the 2007 Region
Championship team.
"Katie has just the type of
ability and energy that fits this team perfectly," said Dibble. "She gives us depth that a good team
needs in winning consistently.
Bell,
a product of Eustis, Fla.,
finished second in the District Tournament while playing at Mt. Dora High School. Bell
earned All-County honors and was named team captain in 2007.
"Rebeka
has the desire and work ethic that will bring her success at Tusculum," Dibble added. "Her record proves she's a very straight
hitter of the golf ball, which will help the team on tight courses."
Tusculum
College, located in Greeneville,
Tenn., is a member of the Presbyterian Church,
USA and is a NCAA Division
II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine colleges
and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South
Carolina.
