  Tusculum Men’s Soccer Blanks Catawba, 5-0

 

GREENEVILLE, Tenn.Tusculum College men’s soccer team defeated South Atlantic Conference rival Catawba, 5-0, Wednesday night on Pioneer Field.

 

TC struck early with a goal by Bruno Conceicao at the 7:24 minute mark recording his 13th goal of the season, Conceicao was assisted by Anteneh Lemma. .

 

Conceicao scored his 14th goal of the season with a pass from freshman Lucas Paulini at 27:36.

 

Telmo Dantes scored his sixth goal of the season at the 62:57 minute mark and was assisted by Tony Prisco. Lemma scored his first goal of the season at the 82:27 minute mark. Freshman Oscar Villagan scored the final goal at the 88:00 mark for the 5-0 victory.

 

Sophomore Pioneer keeper Lance Moore had seven saves and recorded his fourth shutout while Catawba’s Ross Willard had seven saves and teammate Tyler Held had one.

 

The Pioneers (8-6-2, 4-1-1 SAC) will now travel to No. 25 Lenior-Rhyne for a 1 p.m. match Saturday.
