LANCE MOORE
NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT MEN'S SOCCER TEAM
BRISTOL, Conn. --- Tusculum College
goalkeeper Lance Moore has been
named to the ESPN The
Magazine Academic All-District IV College Division Men's Soccer Second
Team announced officials Thursday.
Moore, a 6-2, 190-pound sophomore
from Morristown, Tenn., has posted a 3.69 cumulative grade
point average while majoring in Business.
Moore has started in all 19 matches in goal
this season where he has a 1.36 goals against average,
including six shutouts. Three of those
shutouts have come against nationally ranked opponents Wingate
University (No. 17), Lander University
(No. 16) and Lenoir-Rhyne College
(No. 25).
He is currently third in the
South Atlantic Conference in save percentage (.779), saves (4.63 spm) and shutouts (6).
Tusculum (10-7-2) is ranked No. 23 in NCAA
Division II and has won four of its last five matches. TC is also 2-2-2 against nationally-ranked
teams this year. The Pioneers will face
eighth-ranked Wingate on Friday in a semifinal match of the 2007 Food Lion
South Atlantic Conference Tournament, held this weekend in Rock Hill, S.C.

Academic All-District Team are selected by the College Sports Information
Directors of America, which include all colleges and universities from Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio and Michigan which comprise
District IV.
