TUSCULUM MEN’S SOCCER DEFEATS BREVARD 5-1

BREVARD, N.C. – The Tusculum College men’s soccer team defeated host Brevard College Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Pioneers struck early with a goal by freshman Lucas Paulini who was assisted by Bruno Conceicao at 8:30. Conceicao then scored at 18:34 and was assisted by Anteneh Lemma. Garrett Williams ended the first half with an unassisted goal at 31:28.

TC scored two more goals in the second half as Williams and Paulini scored their second goals of the contest.

Tusculum out shot the Tornadoes 20-4. Ian Townson had Brevard’s lone goal at 53:15. Pioneer goalie Lance Moore had two saves in the match.

TC will travel to No. 17 Wingate for a 6 p.m. match Saturday night.
