TUSCULUM WOMEN'S SOCCER RANKED NO. 14 NATIONALLY

MISSION, Kan. --- The Tusculum College women's soccer team has returned to the national rankings and is listed 14th in the NSCAA/adidas national rankings announced officials Tuesday.

Tusculum (3-2) went 1-1 last weekend in Columbus, Ga. as the Pioneers defeated host Columbus State, 1-0 on Friday before falling 1-0 to now second-ranked Tampa.  Ally Mathews scored the lone goal in the win over CSU, while rookie keeper Tori Hadjopoulos was stellar in goal, allowing just one scoring tally in 180 minutes of playing time.

Two opponents on the TC schedule are ranked in this week's poll.  Carson-Newman (4-0) jumped three spots and is listed No. 7 in this week's rankings, while Tampa moved up two spots to No. 2.

Tusculum returns home Wednesday when they host Pfeiffer University at Pioneer Field.
