BARRON NAMED SAC SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College’s Kelly Barron has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday.

 

Barron, a 5-0 junior forward from Cincinnati, Ohio (Glen Este HS) scored three goals in the week including the winning goal in Tusculum's 3-1 victory over King College (Tenn.).  She scored two goals against King and one goal against Pfeiffer University to help lead Tusculum to a 5-2 record on the season.  For the week, Barron recorded a .667 shot on goal percentage.

 

Tusculum (5-2, 0-0 in South Atlantic Conference), who is currently ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division II, will host Mars Hill College in the league lid-lifter for both squads.

 

The SAC Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the conference's eight-member institution's sports information directors.
