The Pioneers moved up
seven spaces in the national poll and are the highest ranked team from the
South Atlantic Conference. Carson-Newman
(5-1-0) fell from fourth place to 20th after a 3-1 loss to No. 16
Armstrong Atlantic Sep. 7.
Tusculum will play at home Wednesday as they host SAC rival Mars Hill College at 7 p.m. in the league opener for both teams.
