TANNER, HADJOPOULOS PACE NO. 7 TUSCULUM OVER MARS HILL 1-0 IN SAC WOMEN'S SOCCER

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. –-- Danielle Tanner’s goal in the 66th minute was all the offense No. 7 Tusculum College would need in a 1-0 South Atlantic Conference win over Mars Hill College Wednesday night at Pioneer Field.

 

The match was a scoreless battle until freshman Dagbjort Agnarsdottir sent in a cross that found the foot of Tanner who knocked in her fourth goal of the season.

 

Tusculum freshman Tori Hadjopoulos recorded her fourth shutout of the season as she posted three saves.  Mars Hill's Claudia Cala was brilliant in goal as she finished with 12 saves on the evening as the Pioneers out-shot the Lions by a 21-9 margin.

                                                                             

The Pioneers will travel to Lincoln Memorial University next Wednesday for a 4 p.m. match.
