TUSCULUM LISTED NO. 12 IN WOMEN'S SOCCER POLL

MISSION, Kan. --- The Tusculum College women's soccer team dropped eight spots and is ranked No. 12 in this week's NSCAA/adidas® Division II Poll announced College officials Tuesday.

The Pioneers (12-1-3) went 2-1 last week, posting shutout wins over UNC Pembroke (5-0) and Columbus State (3-0).  TC suffered its only setback of the year last Thursday, dropping a 2-1 overtime decision to Wingate.

Two of Tusculum's opponents are listed in this week's rankings.  Carson-Newman is seventh in the poll with its 14-1 record.  C-N's only loss this year was a 3-2 defeat to Tusculum last month.  Despite the 3-0 loss to Tusculum, Columbus State has returned to the top 25 and is listed 22 in this week's rankings.

The Pioneers are the No. 2 seed in this year's Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament.  TC will host Presbyterian Tuesday night in a quarterfinal match.  The winner of that contest advances to Friday's SAC Tournament semifinal against either Catawba or Newberry.  That match will be played in Hickory, N.C.
