No. 25 Women’s Soccer Defeats Wingate, 2-0

 

 

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tusculum women’s soccer team defeated Wingate 2-0 Wednesday night on Pioneer Field.

 

TC struck first at the 19:39 mark with a goal by Danielle Tanner marking her 16th goal of the season, and seventh game-winner, she was assisted by Amber Bradley.

 

Tanner had a breakaway down the field at the 71:51 mark for her second goal in the game and 17th of the season. 

 

Wingate out-shot Tusculum 12-10. Freshman goalie Tori Hadjopoulos had four saves, recording her sixth shut-out while Bulldog goalie Kathryn Smith had two.

 

The Pioneers (12-5-0, 3-3-0 SAC) will travel to Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday for a 2 p.m. match.
