TUSCULUM RANKED NO. 19 IN NSCAA/adidas® SOCCER POLL

 

                MISSION, Kan. --- The Tusculum College women's soccer team is ranked No. 19 in the nation according to this week's NSCAA/adidas® Division II poll announced College officials.

 

                The Pioneers (12-2-3) are also the No. 2 seed in this year's NCAA Division II Southeast Regional and will face third-seeded Armstrong Atlantic State University (18-3-1) on Friday at 11:30 a.m.  The Southeast Regional is being held at McCown Field in Jefferson City, Tenn., hosted by Carson-Newman College.

 

                Carson-Newman (13-1-1) is the top-seed in the regional and ranked fourth in this week's poll.  Columbus State University (18-3-1) is tied for 13th in the national poll, while Armstrong Atlantic received votes in the ranking.  Following the TC/AASU match, Carson-Newman and Columbus State will meet in the other first round regional match-up on Friday.

 

                The winners advance to Sunday's Regional final, which will be held at 2 p.m. at McCown Field.
