TUSCULUM WOMEN'S SOCCER ENDS SEASON RANKED NO. 14 IN THE NATION

MISSION, Kan. ---- The Tusculum College women's soccer team is listed No. 14 in the final 2007 NSCAA/adidas® Division II National Rankings announced College officials Tuesday.

Tusculum finished the year with a 15-7 overall record, while advancing to the NCAA Division II Tournament Sweet 16.  The Pioneers were making their third consecutive NCAA postseason appearance and fourth in the last five years.  TC also recorded its 10th straight winning season under the tutelage of head coach Mike Joy.

Tusculum's No. 14 ranking is the second best finish for the Pioneers to end a season.  Last year's squad advanced to the NCAA national quarterfinals and a No. 8 national ranking, the best in school history.  In 2005, Tusculum recorded a No. 18 finish, marking the first of three straight years ending the season with a national ranking.
