TUSCULUM, LENOIR-RHYNE SOFTBALL GAMES MOVED TO MONDAY

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Due to inclement weather and wet field conditions, Saturday’s South Atlantic Conference softball doubleheader between Tusculum and No. 25 Lenoir-Rhyne has been postponed announced TC head coach Fred Gillum. The games will be played on Monday beginning at 2 p.m. from Tusculum’s Red Edmonds Field.

Monday’s doubleheader has also been designated as “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” Day at Red Edmonds Field.  Tusculum and Lenoir-Rhyne players and coaches will be wearing pink as part of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s (NFCA) initiative to strike out cancer.

Both teams will be collecting donations during the doubleheader to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  A moment of silence will also be observed prior to Monday’s first game for loved ones who have suffered from this dreaded disease.  Admission to the doubleheader is free.

Tusculum returns to action on Sunday when the Pioneers travel to Limestone College for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
