TUSCULUM DEFEATS MILLIGAN 8-1 IN MEN'S TENNIS

 

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum swept the doubles matches and won five of the six singles contests as the Pioneers defeated Milligan College 8-1 Sunday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex in men's tennis action.

 

                The Pioneers improve to 4-2 overall, while Milligan (0-1) falls in its season lid-lifter.

 

                Sergio Espinosa rallied from a set down to defeat Tom Jones 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.  Espinosa and Carlos Garcia also tallied a point at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-6 over Jones and Ryan Reynolds.

 

                TC also got singles points from Nathan Wheeler, Julien Jacob and Alex Masi.

 

                The Pioneers host Lincoln Memorial University this Friday at 3 p.m.
