No. 31 LMU DOWNS MEN’S TENNIS 6-3

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- No. 31 Lincoln Memorial University won two of three tight doubles matches and swept the top three singles pairings en route to a 6-3 victory over Tusculum College Friday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

LMU won both No. 1 and No. 3 doubles by a score of 9-8 while Tusculum took No. 2, 9-7.

The Railsplitters dominated the first three singles matchups, winning each in straight sets. Junior Peter Kurhajec, sophomore Lukas Burkon and freshman Jan Cingel all posted victories as did freshman Jozef Holkovic.

Lincoln Memorial (2-1) continues its month-long road trip Wednesday morning at Tuskegee University. Tusculum (4-3) travels to Gardner-Webb University Saturday morning for an 11 a.m. start.
