GARCIA NAMED SAC MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

Carlos Garcia                ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College’s Carlos Garcia has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday.  For Garcia, this marks the second time in as many seasons he has earned this honor.

 

                The 6-0 senior from Caracas, Venezuela, went 2-0 in singles and doubles play last week as the No. 35 Pioneers recorded non-conference wins over Virginia-Wise and Brevard.  Garcia has won a remarkable 22 consecutive singles matches.

 

                The South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league’s sports information directors.
