TUSCULUM MEN'S TENNIS WINS 8-1 AT MILLIGAN

 

                MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. --- For the second time in as many days, Sergio Espinosa claimed the winning point as the No. 37 Tusculum College men's tennis team posted an 8-1 win at Milligan College Sunday afternoon.

 

                The Pioneers (7-4) swept all three doubles points and went 5-1 in singles play.  Espinosa recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win over Milligan's Joe Dyer at No. 3 singles.  Pedro Galavis defeated Tom Jones in a tough match at No. 1 singles, 7-6, 7-6.  Carlos Garcia, Hunter Beal and Julien Jacob also claimed singles victories.

 

                Tusculum will begin its defense of its South Atlantic Conference title on Wednesday when the Pioneers travel to Jefferson City, Tenn. to face in-state rival Carson-Newman College.
