TUSCULUM MEN CLAIM FIFTH STRAIGHT, WIN 8-1 OVER NEWBERRY

 

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College men's tennis team won its fifth straight match as the Pioneers defeated visiting Newberry College 8-1 Sunday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

 

                Tusculum swept the three doubles matches and captured five singles points to improve to 9-4 overall and 5-0 in the South Atlantic Conference.  The Indians fall to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

 

                The Pioneers return to action Friday when they travel to Lees-McRae College for a 2 p.m. match.  Newberry is back at home on Saturday to host Mars Hill College at 2 p.m.
