BANNER ELK, N.C. --- No. 36 Lees-McRae College rallied from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to edge Tusculum College 5-4 Friday afternoon in Banner Elk, N.C.
The Bobcats took the top doubles flight and four of the top five singles matchups. Felipe Castanheira and Shane Horan teamed up for the doubles win and each won in singles. Tusculum's Michael Hallford (Baton Rouge, La.) won at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles.
Tusculum (9-5) returns to action Sunday afternoon, hosting Presbyterian College at 1 p.m. Both schools are unbeaten in the South Atlantic Conference.
