Catawba held a 2-1 advantage
after doubles play and split six singles matches to take the win.
In
singles action, Catawba claimed wins at the No. 1, 5, and 6 positions. Velazquez defeated Espinosa 6-3, 6-4 in the
top slot. Sufficool went three sets
to down Beal 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5, and Ramsey prevailed over Janssen 6-4,
6-1 at No. 6.
