TUSCULUM MEN'S TENNIS ENDS YEAR NATIONALLY RANKED

 

                SKILLMAN, N.J. --- The Tusculum College men's tennis team is listed No. 40 in the final 2006 Fila Collegiate Division II National Rankings announced College officials Friday.  This marks the third time in the last five years of the Coach Tommy Arnett era that the Pioneers have finished the season nationally ranked.

 

                Tusculum posted a 12-8 overall record and finished second in the South Atlantic Conference.  TC also recorded its sixth consecutive winning campaign.  The Pioneers were also listed No. 9 in the final NCAA Southeast Region rankings.

 

                According to the poll, Tusculum faced a very difficult schedule, as six of its opponents ended the season nationally ranked, including No. 15 Francis Marion, No. 16 Presbyterian, No. 25 Anderson, No. 28 USC Aiken, No. 34 Lincoln Memorial and No. 37 Carson-Newman.
